Corbett Photos
This is a sample of my work that began with pictures from a trip to British Columbia in late 2019. The trip comprised a flight to Seattle, Washington for a few days and then a one week cruise to Alaska, getting off the boat in Victoria, Vancouver Island. Our plans then hit the fan because my old university friend John Dufton had organised several weeks for us and we never made it to the BC mainland except to catch a plane back to Seattle and then home to New Zealand. As it happened that was for the best and we saw lots of things we might never otherwise have thought of looking out for. Going with the flow is wonderful.
Early 2021
Having found a new home, the nuts and bolts of moving swiftly fell into place and I was lucky that Matthew agreed to fly north and accompany me driving south with the caravan in tow.
Late 2020
After a lost middle of the year, spring was coming back. Opportunities for bird photos came up with one’s exercise excursions and seemed easier as though lockdown had persuaded the birds to be tamer.
Early 2020
2020, the year the plague came, but before that happened I made quite a few trips that summer.
Late 2019
Neither Pauline nor I cope well with long flights, but we got extra large seats on Air Hawaii and they were very good.
2016
2016 took in a trip to Taranaki and captured a picture of the elephant rock now sadly lost to an earthquake. A busy year, but not with holiday photographs.
Europe 2015
A whole summer in Europe.
Early 2015
Being confined to home brings the opportunity to do lots of things that have been put off in favour of more exciting pursuits.
Misc
From every collection there must arise a number of pictures that don’t really fit into any of the obvious major groups but are too special for whatever reason to leave out. These are those ones!
